"This book is a collection of memories of author Loren W. Good written at the encouragement of his wife Marjorie for his family, friends and the community of Shell Valley in Wyoming. My Good Life begins with early days growing up in a poor family on Beaver Creek in the 1930's and quitting school after 8th grade to work on local ranches. After honorable discharge from the Air Force, he has no money, no job and only an 8th grade education, yet journeys on to complete a professional career as a petroleum geologist and returns to live in Shell Valley. In sharing the stories of his 91+ years, Loren reveals the history, experiences and people that inspired him and helped to shape his life. Loren continues to make memories while living happily ever after with Marjorie in Shell, Wyoming." -- from back cover.
