Summary
The story of Texas rancher Bick Benedict, his society wife, and three generations of their land-rich Texas sons and daughters as their family rivalry with cowboy and (later oil tycoon) Jett Rink unfolds across two generations. A monumental drama of family strife, racial bigotry, and conflict between cattle barons and newly-rich oil tycoons.
